Also includes double MOBO winner Nate James, Stockholm's newest pop star Ida Maria and Cuban born Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade.

Sheryl Crow returns with songs from her forthcoming sixth album Detours. Liza Minnelli joins Jools at the piano for a song and a chat about her life. Also features Australian beat-wizard Sugarush Beat Company, American soul sensation Rahsaan Patterson and Danish siren Ida Corr.

Political singer/songwriter Steve Earle performs with his wife Alison Moorer. Rising Nigerian star Asa sings her mix of pop, folk and reggae. Martina Topley Bird returns to the programme with tracks from her forthcoming album The Blue God, and Welsh female soul singer Duffy also performs.

Also performing in the studio is British jazz musician and trombonist Chris Barber.

Jools presents clips of some of the great debuts from his show, which helped to launch the careers of The White Stripes, Adele, the Arctic Monkeys and the Verve.
