Dan has some explaining to do after an early morning surprise for Tony and Simon. Clare decides to intervene and try to sort out Nigel's problems.

After his row with Simon, Tony faces a difficult day. Nigel keeps his distance from Grant but Lorraine visits him and opens her heart.

Alan demands some answers from Frankie but does not like what he hears. Tony is thrilled to see Simon but worries about his night with Frankie, and Mark sets off for America.

Peggy is surprised when Aunt Sal comes to stay. Gita has an appointment at the hospital. Phil has some bad news for Kathy when he finally comes home.

Lorraine finds a flat but is worried what Joe will think. Gita gets the all clear from the fertility clinic but is worried what Sanjay will say and keeps it a secret.

Kathy spends the day contemplating her future with Phil. Peggy and Grant have words after she sacks Lorraine, and Gita attempts to talk to Sanjay about a sensitive issue.

Nigel is training for the London marathon. Bianca is planning her wedding. Ian threatens Ruth about her noisy tenants. Sanjay does not keep his appointment with Dr Legg.

Lorraine finds Joe's bottles of medication in the bin and asks him why he's thrown them away. Joe's determined that he feels fine and does not want them any more.

Sanjay surprises Gita. Sonia's worries unite Carol and Alan. Phil begs Kathy to give him one more chance.

Felix returns to the Square and sees his old barbers being renovated. Lorraine and Bianca visit Joe in hospital. Grant meets with his solicitor.

As word spreads about Joe's condition Lorraine finds it hard to deal with, and when Peggy offers her opinion it becomes too much to bear.

Grant and Lorraine agree to separate for a while. Annie and George are spotted embracing in the street. Grant tells Peggy what he's seen.

Peggy meets George's mystery woman - his daughter! There is chaos at Clare's birthday party. Lorraine is feeling guilty about Tiffany and refuses Grant's engagement ring.

Pauline arranges a trip to Arthur's grave and finds out she has a sister she never knew of. Grant tells Tiffany he's taking the baby.

Lorraine visits Joe in hospital but finds that he was released yesterday. Dot goes to the doctors but finds her medical notes have gone missing.

Tiffany still has no hot water at the flat and tries to find somewhere to bath Courtney; Peggy at the Vic helps out. Bianca is refused her stall by the temporary market inspector.

Mark's T-cell count has dropped and the doctor mentions drug therapy. Tony steals Lenny's keys, and him and Polly break into George's office. Dot tells Nigel she has glaucoma.

Lenny is woken by an angry George. Lorraine arrives back in the Square with Joe and goes to the Vic to see Grant. Martin is beaten up by Shane's gang.

Martin's involvement with the gang escalates as they plan a heist of the community centre.

Martin inadvertently gets involved with the gang as they spray graffiti on the Vic's door and get caught by Grant. The gang plan the Community centre heist for later that day

It's the day of Courtney's Christening. Naturally, Tony's not overjoyed. Nigel is so busy decorating Dot's flat, that he almost forgets the Christening.

Joe is upset that Grant and Lorraine have split up. Tiffany tells Grant she loves him and that his future is with her and Courtney. Tony is beaten up.

Tony is scared to go out. Nigel helps Dot move. Tiffany and Grant patch it up. A brick is thrown through Simon's window.

Tony tries to keep a low profile but Simon has other plans. Ruth and Mark have been given a place on a fostering course.

Robbie continues his fruitless search for Wellard. Damion is asking questions, but getting nowhere. The race between Nigel and Grant is agreed upon and the betting begins.

It's the day of the big race. Dot and Nellie bicker about who is in charge. Robbie makes fruitless visits to the local animal sanctuary.

The police are still looking for Nick Cotton. Pauline tells Kathy she has been rooting through family documents to try and find her sister.

Peggy tells Grant and Tiffany that it's time they started recruiting properly. Dot is hostage to Damion. Lenny and Huw go to the CAB.

Nigel is concerned about Dot who admits that her visitor cleaned her out. Ted tells Kathy about his debts. Dot packs a case and disappears into the night.

Ted's business problems continue and he starts selling up. Ian continues to plug the residents meeting. Nigel and Pauline become increasingly concerned about Dot.

George and Grant are at odds. Peggy's problems go from bad to worse when she gets done for serving under-age drinkers. Ted feels his age.

Peggy hides upstairs after the police raid. Dot is in Rochdale. Ted can't find any work. Sarah is offered a job at the Refuge. Polly watches George's club and gets threatened.

Ian opens his third chip shop, but things don't go well when the fish delivery is late. Tony and Polly are spotted by Tiffany going into his flat.

Tony is horrified when he is confronted over his relationship with Polly. A delighted Barry decides that it does pay to mix business with pleasure when Vanessa visits him.

Bianca bemoans the lack of a decent birthday present from Ricky. Ted oversleeps and misses his lift to work. Anita Banks comes to look at Mark and Ruth's house.

Things are tense between Kathy and Phil. Bianca goes to a clinic where it's confirmed she's pregnant. Michael meets up with his son Matthew - things start off tense.

Grant, Tiffany, Kathy, Phil, Ricky and Bianca arrive in Paris. Kathy and Phil argue over a letter written to him by Lorna. Kathy gets upset and throws her wedding ring in the Seine.

Grant checks on Kathy but she's angry with him for not being honest. Kathy starts drinking alone and asks for waiter Emil to deliver some food. Emil makes a pass at Kathy.

Kathy decides to see the sights of Paris on her own. The trip to France also opens old wounds for Tiffany and Grant. Bianca decides to make the most of her last day in Paris.

Tony's enquiries lead to a revelation from an unexpected quarter. Grant and Tiffany find themselves under pressure from Peggy as they try to keep the events of Paris a secret.

Ian, Lucy, Mark, Ruth and a reluctant Martin accompany Pauline to Ireland to visit her half sister.

Ian goes to get some things from the back of the vanette and finds a stranger has spent the night there.

After discovering that Lucy and Ruth are missing, along with Conor, and Mr. Finn's fishing boat, Mark wants to drive the vanette up the coast to look for them from the shore, but Ian wants to wait at the docks for news from the rescue teams, so Mark goes on his own.

Councillor Dixon's sex life is exposed by his wife. Simon and Irene come to blows over Tony's sexuality. Carol is threatened over Billy's trial.

Carol and Alan get a visit from the police who say they know the gang who threatened Carol. They want Carol to identify the gang at the police station.

Huw and Robbie are smitten with Mary. Irene and Terry flirt. Carol and Alan are introduced to their Victim Liaison Officer. Diane gets a supermarket job.

Robbie wins a boxing match. Joe wins a pool match. The Jackson's are being intimidated.

Jessie comes home but is unresponsive. Joe proposes marriage to Sarah. Carol's fears about protecting her family come true when Billy is bundled off into a van.

The inhabitants of Albert Square are horrified to hear what's happened to Billy, while Sarah and Joe have a shocking announcement for Lorraine and Irene.

The Jacksons wait for news of Billy, and the police tap their phone.

The Jackson family welcomes Billy home but must decide whether to move to another area for safety. Tony visits the Jacksons to get the story for the Gazette.

The Jackson family decide to leave Walford. Joe is annoyed with Sarah about going to a fundraising meeting instead of meeting him.

A desolate Bianca turns to Ricky for support. Joe's world is turned upside down by a message from the spirit world.

Lorraine tries hard to stay calm when Joe is nowhere to be found. Phil is shocked into a harsh reality when he visits Kathy.

Barry tells Roy that Vanessa has fleeced him. Word spreads around the Square that Mary has run off with Joe; Lorraine and Pauline give Mary a telling off.

Ian and Sanjay are concerned about the uncollected rubbish around the Square. Sarah is upset and confused over Joe and confides in the vicar, Alex.

Mary and Sarah compete for Joe's affections. Huw, Lenny and Robbie are sacked; Susan goes to have tests in hospital.

Sarah decides to confront Joe. Roy realises he can't keep the truth from Pat any longer, and he finally tells her Barry's wedding is off and they have to sell the business.

Lorraine discovers that Joe has slept with Mary. Pat and Roy will have to sell their house due to the debts. Ian fires Ross the private detective.

Diana tells Mark that Thomas has asked her to go away with him and leave Jacques with Ricky and Bianca. Ricky is hopeful to move into Lorraine's flat when she leaves for Bolton.

Ian leaves for Italy where Cindy is hiding out. Joe wants to go home to Bolton. Diane leaves the Square and leaves her son behind with Ricky.

Ian and Ros are in Italy looking for Cindy and the boys. They are joined by Grant and Phil, who end up being arrested after a fight. Ros eventually finds Cindy in a nightclub.

Ros arranges a very important meeting. Phil and Grant take matters into their own hands.

Ian tries to get Cindy into bed to kill time while Grant and Phil take Steven and Peter to the airport. They all meet up later and get on the plane as Cindy arrives to see them depart.

Ian arrives home with the boys and it's Joe and Lorraine's leaving party. Annie and Ian go to hear the election results at the Town Hall.

Ian loses the election but vows to stand again. Lorraine and Joe leave for Bolton. Cindy returns, determined to get her children back.

Cindy's return to the Square leaves Ian reeling. Bianca is sulking about Jacques. Nigel visits Julie with a raunchy French video. Peggy organises a party.

Bianca interrupts Robbie's flirtation attempts with Mary. Grant tells Phil that he and Tiffany are doing a runner and going to a posh restaurant in town.

Clare tries to regain a lost friendship. Phil and Annie explore dangerous new territory. Ian is given a chance to take his revenge.

Ricky secretly buys a cot for the newly finished nursery. When Bianca has her scan the baby is found to have spina bifida. Annie has an interesting offer for Ian about a restaurant.

Ricky takes Bianca to the hospital to have an abortion. Robbie is trying to impress Mary. Cindy and Ian argue about access to the children.

Bianca grieves the loss of her baby, and Ricky doesn't handle the situation very well. Mark's virus is at undetectable levels, but his good news is marred by the arrival of Connor.

Bianca is coming to terms with losing her baby. Frank Butcher returns, making a fuss over grandson Jacque which Roy doesn't appreciate.

Frank offers to help Roy out of his business difficulties but is rejected. There is a poor turnout for the switching on of the Christmas tree lights.

Mark invites Sanjay to the panto with him and Jessie. Cindy visits the kids and annoys Mary. Peggy and George decide to spent the weekend away - but in separate rooms.

Simon demands a heart to heart with Tony, and Frank offers to help Bianca and Tony.

Peggy puts her foot down and Terry makes Tony face reality about his mother.

Bianca, Ricky, Frank and Pat attend Natasha's funeral. Aunt Sal arrives at the Vic after an argument with Harold. Ros updates Ian on news of Cindy. Frank offers to look after Jacques.
