Season 1

The Shili Tai Fire and Rescue Station is in a festive scene. Suddenly the alarm rang, and firefighters were dispatched immediately. In the early morning, ER doctor Xu Qin had just returned from the emergency room after a major operation. A few firefighters covered in mud rushed in, begging her to treat his comrade who has a toothache. When she told the man to remove his mask, the man turned away and left the emergency room.

Jiang Yu just wishes to avoid more meaningless sacrifices between the firefighters.

Meng Yanchen finds Xu Qin in the hospital, and he meets Song Yan by chance. He warns Song Yan to keep his distance from Xu Qin. Song Yan understands what he means and tells him not to interfere with Xu Qin’s life since he is not her biological brother. Meng Yanchen advises her not to end the relationship with her family because of Song Yan.

Since Xu Qin is reluctant to go on the blind date arranged by her mother, she arranges for the parents of both parties to meet. Xu Qin tells Jiang Yu that she has a crush on a man. He promises to help her.

A few college backpackers are stuck in a mountain and needed rescuing. Even the local civilian rescue team goes missing after looking for them. Without knowing the exact location, the firefighters face a tough rescue with the weather conditions and terrain. Meanwhile, Xu Qin receives a lesson on reading patients, not just treating them.

Shilitai Fire and Rescue Station proposes a joint rescue effort with the city's First People's Hospital. Xu Qin volunteers to join the training. At the fire station, both firefighters and medical staff learn from one another to improve the efficiency and efficacy of rescue operations.

After a bus flips over, a passenger named Chen Yu rescues many people before the firefighters arrive, but he is thrown out of the bus when it falls off a cliff and is seriously injured. He is called a hero by everyone, but he has an unknown side to him. Meanwhile, after the rescue, reporters want to interview Song Yan, but he introduces Xu Qin as the rescue team leader and gives the opportunity to her instead.

With the medical staff gone from the fire station, Song Yan misses Xu Qin even though he refuses to admit it. However, a fire drill at the hospital reunites them again. Meanwhile, Dr. Xu contemplates her profession.

Teams are organized to help with the disaster rescue of earthquake victims in Wangxiang. The place is in bad shape, with many collapsed houses and structures and missing people. That includes Jiang Yi's mom, who's in Wangxiang with her sister, Jiang Yi's aunt.

Meng Yan Chen's mom wants her son and husband to let people know about the help they've been giving to disaster relief. Meanwhile, Song Yan and Xu Qin are both exhausted from the disaster rescue. Then, Song Yan gets seriously injured.

Despite knowing Song Yan's life is in danger, Xu Qin chooses not to stay by his side and continues fulfilling her duty as a doctor. The firefighters continue doing their mission in earthquake relief. Later, Xu Qin and Jiang Yi receive news that put their mind at ease.

After the successful disaster relief operation, Song Yan and Xu Qin go back to their lives. However, they can't continue setting aside their feelings for each other anymore. Things are beginning to fall into place, even in Dr. Xu's work.

Some firefighters struggle to get over their traumatic experience after providing the disaster relief at Wangxiang and are forced to overcome their anxiety by Yang Chi. Xu Qin is annoyed that Song Yan doesn't contact her for a day and doubts their relationship.

Meng Yan Chen finds out that Song Yan and Xu Qin are back together and tries to discourage Song Yan from being with her. He feels like he's been abandoned since Xu Qin went to find her happiness. Meanwhile, Xu Qin has learned to appreciate the process even if there might be no good outcome.

Xu Qin confesses to her parents that she is dating Song Yan who highly disapprove of their relationship. As a result, she moves out from home into Song Yan's. His aunt and uncle welcome her happily.

Xu Qin is welcomed warmly in the home of Song Yan's uncle and aunt. Xu Qin wants Meng Yan Chen to speak to their mom for her, but he refuses. Meanwhile, things seem to be progressing between Meng Yan Chen and Ye Zi.

Yan Chen tries to persuade his mom to let Xu Qin live her life, btu she doesn't back down. She invites Xu Qin to go shopping with her as a pretense to introduce her to another guy. Later, a mother and son threatens to jump off the hospital building Xu Qin works at.

There's a cyanide leak at an electroplating plant. Firefighters are dispatched to save the three workers who have been poisoned and resolve the issue. However, Song Yan also gets poisoned during the process.

Song Yan tells Xu Qin his future plans for them. Everyone is busy preparing and celebrating New Year, but the firefighters are still on duty to protect people. Xu Qin also goes home to visit her family for New Year.

Xu Qin is having a difficult time because her mom is interfering with her work at the hospital. Meanwhile, Song Yan is preparing for his transfer. However, a huge fire breaks out with a flashover that endangers the firefighters' lives.

A life is lost in the fire at Junguang Square, which is owned by Guokun Group. Song Yan has to decide whether to report about the truth of the fire which caused a death of his comrade. However, that decision will sow more discord between him and Xu Qin's family.

Song Yan is being suspended from work due to accusations of bribery. A new development in Shilitai Fire and Rescue Station also makes Song Yan's decision to transfer waver. And Xu Qin starts asking for explanations of things that happened in the past.

A patient at the hospital gets worked up and injures Xu Qin's wrist. Meanwhile, despite being in an argument over his past, Song Yan still does not want to tell Xu Qin how he got his gunshot wound. Zhai Miao is worried for him and goes to see Xu Qin to help patch up their relationship.

Xu Qin finds out what her family did to Song Yan and confronts her parents. Meanwhile, Meng Yan Chen frankly tells Ye Zi his thoughts about her and makes her angry. So she comes up with a plan to take revenge on him.

Zhai Miao holds the evidence to prove Yan Chen's innocence. The choice is in her hands whether to give it up and help the Meng family that ruined Song Yan's life, or do the same and destroy the Meng family.

Song Yan and Xu Qin are busy working with little time to prepare for their wedding. Meanwhile, a super typhoon makes landfall in Yancheng and causes many people to be trapped or injured. Both the firefighters and medical staff have their hands full to help the people of Yancheng.

A typhoon causes disasters in the city. Floods and fallen trees slow down Xu Qin and Song Yan from rescuing civilians. At this moment, Mrs. Meng is trapped in her car under a collapsing tunnel. Will rescuers get to her in time?
