The discovery of 2 bodies in Parque do Estado reveals the presence of a serial killer in São Paulo.

As more bodies are found, the suspect, Francisco de Assis Pereira, flees to South America. His photo is released, survivors identify him, and past unsolved cases emerge. Francisco claims innocence, but weak evidence complicates the investigation.

After confessing to the crimes, Francisco leads the police to another victim. Brazil is stunned by the media exploitation of the case, which discredits the survivors and turns Francisco into a sub-celebrity.

Francisco’s trial debates his mental state. Diagnosed with antisocial disorder and psychopathy, he's sentenced to 285 years but will serve a max of 30 due to Brazilian law. Unreleased audio exposes his criminal mind, leaving justice uncertain.
