Eileen and Eva are shocked to find a comatose Billy in the flat, and Bethany tells Sarah she has arranged for her to go on a date with Aidan. And during the Race for your Wife charity run, Robert drops to one knee and proposes to Michelle.

Craig shows signs of obsessive compulsive disorder around the house while an oblivious Bethany waits at the Bistro. Meanwhile, Liz feels caught in the middle when Ali asks her not to tell Michelle he is around, and Eva realises she is out of her depth trying to help Billy.

The Connors wait expectantly as first Aidan then Carla are wheeled down to the operating theatre. Meanwhile, Summer is shocked at the state she finds Billy in, and Michelle tells Robert she is sure she can start afresh with Ali.

At the hospital, Johnny and Roy bond over their love of Carla as they wait for news of the operation, while Billy begs Lee's forgiveness for his past treatment of him. Elsewhere, Michelle has a go at Liz for not telling her about Ali being at the surgery

Eileen is surprised by the turnaround in Billy and quizzes him about his apparent speedy recovery from the painkiller withdrawal. Johnny assures Roy that he will take care of Carla while the cafe owner is looking after his mother, and Phelan makes a copy of Nicola's flat keys without her knowing.

Liz warns Eileen that Phelan is bad news, and Sarah is shocked to see Lee heading up to his brother Billy's flat. Meanwhile, Shona is unimpressed by David rolling in drunk after another night out with Josh.

Kate gives Rana an ultimatum and Simon returns from court with a referral order, but remains fearful of giving evidence against Tyler. Mary hands out invites for Jude and Angie's surprise vow renewal ceremony, unaware that they are having marriage guidance counselling.

Jim breaks the news to Steve that his sister is alive, so he and Tracy turn detective and discover Hannah isn't who she says she is. Meanwhile, Leanne admits to Toyah that she's seeing someone from work, but suggests it's Adam rather than her sister's new flame, Imran.

Steve is unconvinced with Hannah's story and wants to do a DNA test himself, while a lawyer confirms the McDonalds are looking at a big compensation payout. Meanwhile, Tyrone offers Evelyn a place to stay, and Imran is amazed when it appears Toyah gives him the go-ahead to date her and Leanne.
