Ciske's mother accuses him of arson and casts him out.

Ciske gets involved in the riots in the city and is arrested.

Ciske gets in trouble when he pulls a knife during a fight with a classmate at school.

Ciske and Bruis visit Dorus in hospital. Ciske's mother takes him away from Aunt Ja'ns after having heard some bad news.

Ciske is placed in youth prison for six months. He suffers under fellow prisoners but is supported by De Goei, who he knows from the institution.

Ciske is released from prison but coming home is harder than he thought, as his friends ignore and bully him.
