Toby is intent on a romantic assignation with Angela, while Tom hopes to spend quality time with his girl friend. Both their plans are dashed.

After Toby and Tom squabble incessantly over domestic trivia, Tom decides that he can no longer tolerate his father as a flat mate.

Toby and Tom are each having some troubles with their respective practices. Tom is also having problems with the landlord of his surgery—who just happens to be his ex-wife.

Receptionist problems are the theme of the week: Toby threatens to sack Madeline when he learns that she is still seeing Tom.

Toby and Tom disagree constantly on the private and National Health systems. But even Tom must concede that knowing the right people is a decided advantage.

Tom is delighted whenToby resolves to return to his estranged wife Angela. But are Toby's reasons for the reconciliation strictly honorable?
