Season 1

Newly divorced Barri and recent widow Joan break free from their lives as housewives and enroll at the University of the Midwest in pursuit of fun times. While settling into dorm life, they find the male students really welcoming and their female counterparts more standoffish.

Barri and Joan meet potential romantic partners at a bar, while Drew and Abdul face an uphill battle trying to get party guests of the opposite sex interested in them.

When Joan and Barri seek to expand their sexual horizons and “become” gay, their dorm pals try to convince them they're not lesbians by calling on the services of a deprogrammer.

Joan and Barri run afoul of a tough women's studies professor (Maya Rudolph), whose oppressive workload results in the ladies' first all-nighter.

Barri's idea of getting involved with sports is to make a move on the football team's quarterback, who turns around and accuses Barri of sexual misconduct. Meanwhile, Joan becomes an official mascot for the University of the Midwest.

Joan has a truly unforgettable experience, thanks to Stuart. Meanwhile, Barri dabbles in marijuana, and Paige's parents visit the dorm.

Barri and Joan feel a lack of privacy when they encounter the other girls of the dorm in the bathroom. Their antics soon prompt the other girls to petition for the Ladies to be kicked out of the dorm. Meanwhile, Drew and Abdul ask the Ladies to buy alcohol for their Vegas night.

Barri finds out that Joan has a secret during an acting exercise, and she is determined to find out what it is. When she does, however, tensions increase between the Ladies, leaving it to Professer Welch (Paul Reubens) to help them resolve it. In addition, Guy, Drew and Abdul discover Noah, who doesn't talk and find a way to make a quick buck.

Joan and Barri make plans to stage an intervention for their friend Drew after mistaking his fraternity initiation for a welcome to the homosexuality group. Paige dates a senior with questionable morality.

Season 1 Finale: Barri gets some news from the doctor that she has something on her skin that could be cancer. She and Joan decide to go on spring break to have one last fling. They get drunk, Joan and Drew get married, and the ladies end up in jail.
