The top model candidates have completed the bikini walk! Now the fight for the title of “Germany’s next top model” can really begin: Who will master the first fashion show and get to go to Los Angeles?

Having just arrived in Los Angeles, things are already getting too colorful for the girls: whether blue, purple or blonde - no matter what happens on the girls' heads, there will be a lot of tears and excitement!

With their new look, the girls now have to stand out in front of the customers: the first big shoot is coming up! Who behaves professionally and doesn't lose sight of the actual goal?

This week the girls are going to dizzying heights: the helicopter shoot requires a lot of courage from the candidates! The models with a fear of heights have to jump over their shadows this week, because in this week's shoot they are posing in a flying helicopter.

This time, “World of Top Model” brings Jüli, Erica and Darya to a casting on the dream island of Hawaii right at the beginning of the show. However, Darya is not very enthusiastic about her rival Erica being allowed to fly too: “I was really happy and then when Erica was announced I thought to myself... does it have to be!?”

It's going to be wet this week: During the underwater shoot, the girls have to cut a good figure in a glass water tank! “Benvenuto” is the name for Varisa, Lisa and Darya! “World on Top Model” brings the three of them to the fashion metropolis of Milan.

Even though many of Heidi's "girls" are never seen again after the show, some still manage to actually start a modeling career. Ivana Teklic, who came third last season, ran for Dior and Roberto Cavalli, among others, this season.

The idea for the “Next Top Model” format came from the American model Tyra Banks, who first went on air with “America’s Next Top Model” in 2003 and still moderates the format today. The show was introduced in Germany in 2006 and has been presented by Heidi Klum ever since. The winner of the first season was Lena Gercke, who in turn hosted “Austria’s Next Top Model” from 2009 to 2012.

Kristian Schuller, who is known for his large-scale photos, has already put together elaborate shoots for Heidi Klum in previous seasons. For this season, Schuller, who also served as a juror in 2010, has now been hired as a permanent photographer and will be responsible for all shoots.
