Season 1

Mosheng left for the US seven years ago and became a photographer. She returns to China and meets her college ex-boyfriend Yichen, now a top lawyer.

Mosheng feels the heat from Xiao Xiao, her friend from college and now a model. Xiao Xiao even tells Yichen that she wants to sue Mosheng.

While Mosheng is shopping a guard hands her a wallet that he thinks she lost. From the old picture of her inside she realizes it belongs to Yichen.

Back in college, Mosheng joins the law club that Yichen belongs to. She rises to the challenge in front of her while Yichen plays it cool.

Mosheng tells Yichen that she didn’t start the rumor spreading through the school that they are seeing each other. He surprises her with his reply.

Yichen takes Mosheng out to eat when she returns the picture. Yichen’s foster sister Yimei is upset to learn that they are together.

Mosheng proves that a racy online photo of Xiao Xiao is a forgery, and the two make up. Xiao Xiao invites her out to eat with Yichen and Yuanfeng.

Mosheng joins her colleague on a blind date and is ambushed by Yichen, who can’t control his emotions after having too much to drink.

One of the staff is hurt when thugs come to collect a debt. Mosheng takes her to the hospital where she meets Yichen. Yimei sees them together.

Yichen, dining with his fellow lawyers, sees Mosheng outside taking photos. After he rushes out to see her, the group invites her to join them.

While in the US, Mosheng is entrusted with the child of her neighbor who stabbed her abusive husband. Mosheng seeks help from someone she once helped.

Yichen is the editorial staff’s top choice to be featured on the magazine cover, but Mosheng refuses the assignment, having hurt him again.

Overworked and exhausted, Yichen is taken to the hospital. Mosheng runs into Yimei there, and goes with her to fetch his things amid the awkwardness.

Mosheng explains to Yichen that she is divorced from her husband. Yichen coldly pulls away and refuses to open his heart to her at first.

As Mosheng and Yichen share their time together, Mosheng’s ex-husband Ying Hui comes to Shanghai on business and tries to find her.

Mosheng frets that Yichen still has not told his family or friends about his marriage, or introduced her to his foster parents when they are in town.

Yichen brings his colleagues over to his place and reveals that he is married to Mosheng. He then tells Mosheng he does not regret marrying her.

Mosheng convinces Yichen to join her at a ceremony at their university, and reminisces about their school days. But then she sees her ex-husband.

Ying Hui agrees to appear in the magazine if Mosheng is the photographer. When she accepts the job, he reveals the real reason he returned.

Yichen sees Mosheng preparing for a work trip and erupts after drawing the wrong conclusion. Meanwhile Yin Hui plans to win Mosheng back.

After Yichen follows Mosheng to Hong Kong, he and Yin Hui square off at the billiard table. Mosheng has words with a client who insults Yichen.

Mosheng returns from her trip and tells the staff about her marriage. Her colleague Yijing suffers from wounded pride and turns in her resignation.

Yimei is shocked to learn that Yichen knew about Mosheng’s divorce before marrying her. Yin Hui’s feelings for Mosheng grow stronger.

While Mosheng is photographing one of Yichen’s colleagues she gets a call from Yin Hui, who says he has something important to tell her.

Mosheng visits Yin Hui to return a bouquet and ask for a divorce, but he refuses to cooperate. Yichen brings Mosheng home to meet his foster parents.

Mosheng is at a loss when asked when the two families can meet. Buoyed by Yichen’s confident words, Mosheng decides to visit her estranged mother.

Yichen takes advantage of the trouble at Yin Hui’s company and heads to the US to find proof that the divorce papers were forged.

Yin Hui’s aide worries that the forgery will be exposed but he stays calm. Yichen meets the potential witness in a casino and asks him to testify.

Mosheng’s mother Fangmei learns something surprising about Yichen. As their big day approaches the couple get a visit from a pregnant Xiao Xiao.

Mosheng is hurt when her mother opposes her marriage to Yichen without saying why. The day before the wedding Fangmei visits Yichen and questions him.

As time goes by, Yichen and Mosheng spend happy days together as they look back on the past. Yimei also gets married to someone she met through work.

Mosheng and Yichen celebrate Xiao Xiao’s pregnancy with her second child. On the way home, Mosheng says she wants a child of her own.
