Season 1

Ren's unsavory friend shows up with a stolen purse, but when Ren discovers what was inside, he makes the journey from Tokyo to Hokkaido to return it.

A year as passed, and Oto is now working at an elder care facility in Tokyo. Despite her continuing efforts she has not seen Ren since that day.

Just after Kihoko surprises Ren with a full kitchen and dining set, the pair runs into Oto on the street, and Ren introduces Kineko as his girlfriend.

Ren visits Kihoko at the hospital, where she promises never to cheat on him again. Meanwhile, Oto elicits concern over how hard she is working.

Asahi invites Oto to the rooftop for a romantic star-gazing session using a telescope in an attempt to get Oto to reciprocate his feelings for her.

Oto is unexpectedly visited by Kihoko, who is surprised at Oto's love life since the last they met, and the two attempt to make contact with Ren.

Asahi proposes to Oto and is understanding when she says she needs time to think. Before he departs, though, Oto blurts out that she met with Ren.

Kihoko visits Oto's apartment and says she's waiting to be proposed to. Meanwhile, Ren returns to his old moving job, and runs into Oto on the bus.

At Oto's apartment, Ren confesses his feelings to her. But right that moment, before she can have a chance to respond, Asahi shows up at the door.

Ren, Asahi, and Kihoko are called away from their ordinary lives by a phone call bringing them all together at the Misono General Hospital.
