Season 1

Toshiko Hagiya shows crime writer Shigeko Maehata a picture drawn by her son Hitoshi Hagiya, who she says knows the truth about an infamous murder.

After learning what happened to Hitoshi, Shigeko resolves to discover the whole truth herself. She attracts the attention of another interested party.

Chairman Kanekawa stops Shigeko's foray into the Aozora-kai but Toshiko may have a way in. Later, Harumi asks Hajime's if someone's threatening him.

In Harumi's office, Shigeko comes face-to-face with Hajime, who admits he was threatened by 'Shige.' Meanwhile, Toshiko gets a strange phone call.

Shigeko's goes to find 'Shige' at his home is but finds a bloodstain in his place. Later, Harumi tells her Hajime's still hiding something.

While the police search his home, the suspect flees with a hostage. While trying to figure out why Akio never harmed Seiko, Shigeko has an epiphany.
