Season 1

Special investigators Varta Naumova and Max Shumov are assigned to a child abduction case. The measures they take backfire, resulting in a casualty. The kidnapper manages to escape with the girl.

Varta and Max follow a lead that takes them to a cult-like church. A possible suspect is identified. Later, a video with the missing girl holding a sign with a mysterious set of numbers is released online.

Another child goes missing. While working the scene, Varta has a run-in with a local journalist who starts digging into her past. The kidnapper calls the mother of the missing boy and demands a ransom.

Investigators are forced to re-examine the case of Svyrydov’s missing daughter. Varta goes undercover to learn valuable intel.

In a race against the clock the investigators look for the missing kids while also trying to find out what happened to Svyrydov’s daughter. Lies are brought to light and old wounds are exposed.

Svyrydov has to make a incredibly difficult decision. Meanwhile, Varta is hot on the tail of the kidnapper.
