Officer Logan becomes the subject of a departmental cover-up; Franklin exposes police brutality.

Logan goes searching for answers and asks Franklin to represent him against the police department.

Martha urges the mayor's office to apply more pressure; the department looks for a scapegoat.

Franklin's decision to represent Officer Logan turns the community--and Martha--against him. Joshua grows suspicious about Big Phil. Logan's relationship with his father is tested.

The State Attorney sets Franklin in her sights. While reckoning with his guilt, Officer Logan weighs the consequences of going to trial. Lieutenant Brannigan tries to stack the court in his favor.

The trial begins. Officer Logan is outed as the "bad apple" of the CPD, while Franklin makes a case against the department as a whole. A revelation makes Norma question her relationship with Joshua.

Armed with a secret piece of evidence, Franklin puts Officer Logan's comrades on the stand. Someone from Norma's past appears at her door with a crucial piece of information. Josuha finds opportunity in an unlikely place.

Franklin makes his closing remarks. Office Logan gets a surprising offer.
